I am so annoyed by the amount of sniping between the two campaigns. Obama's not patriotic; Richardson is a traitor, Clinton's a liar because she 'misspoke'. Get real, reporters. I do not believe any of those three above are true, and I have an inkling that you all are just sounding more and more desperate. Wow, the desperation with which the media seizes upon any stupid story . . . And everyone can tell that the media is for Obama, lock, stock and barrel. Can we have a professional media in this country, please? One that writes stories about the real issues, not about the horserace.
It's amazing how much time we spend in the media on who's going to win, versus who's right on which issues, etc. And how much time we spend listening to stupid sniping about who's racist, patriotic, etc. Do some people in this country seriously believe that calling names is what's important?
I thought Obama had a better kind of politics.

The whole Clinton thing
I'm so annoyed that Bill Clinton's still around. I was rooting for Hillary as first woman president for a while - but why does Bill have to come along? Better yet, why does the first real possibility for a woman president have to be someone whose major support is all coming from her husband? It's like we're back in the Middle Ages, where women could only take over if they had a son or husband that gave them the right to rule.
Not that Hillary herself doesn't have great points. She just isn't what a feminist like me had hoped for.

Obama first
I'm creating this blog because there are some things in politics people just don't say - or if they do, they get swallowed whole.
For instance - the whole racism/ Bill Clinton thing. Can someone explain why it is racist to imply that Obama won Mississippi because of his race? No matter how great he is as a speaker - and I'm still thinking of voting for him come elections - the fact is that black people vote for him in much greater numbers than whites do. Like I care - for two hundred years people have been voting for people just based on their white color - it's okay if black people do the same thing just for a couple of years, or more. BUT - people are voting for Obama just based on his color! All the posturing by the candidates can't deny the very different margins Obama has in black and white communities of all backgrounds.
Why, oh why, is it racist to acknowledge the fact?
